History

In a meeting held on Tuesday March 11, 2003 the Village of Catskill Board of Trustees decided to consolidate the Catskill Fire Department from three separate fire companies into one new consolidated company. The members of Hose Co. No. 1 Inc., A.M. Osborn Hose Co. No. 2 Inc. and Citizens Hose Co. No. 5 Inc. merged and voted to incorporate the Catskill Fire Company and move all firefighting operations to the Catskill Fire Company effective immediately. Starting in January 2004 the Catskill Fire Company Inc. took over all social and administrative aspects of firefighting for the Catskill fire protection district.
